Cover/2/Cover

A little book journal by Eric Thompson.

When I finish a book, I design a new cover and write a little about it.

An Invitation from a Crab

Panpanya

Date Finished: Apr 1, 2026
First Sentence: Sometimes on my way to school I think of all the side streets I pass.
Last Sentence: Even so, I feel a part of me enjoys these vague and pointless thoughts.
Companion Album:

An invitation to take things slow and observe how absurd everyday experiences truly are. An Invitation from a Crab is a collection of short slice-of-life comics and essays that range from creepy to funny to confusing. A dolphin calculator, a secret mission to return a giant salamander to the Amazon rainforest, a power plant that runs on coconuts, and yes, an invitation from a crab. A quick, surreal, comfy read I grabbed by chance from the library shelf, and what a delight.

Cover Notes:
I wasn't sure what to do about this one, so I grabbed some illustrations from [Old Book Illustrations](https://www.oldbookillustrations.com/) and played around with some color palettes and patterns.
