Cover/2/Cover

A little book journal by Eric Thompson.

When I finish a book, I spend an hour designing a new cover and write a little about it.

Last Argument of Kings

Joe Abercrombie

Date Finished: May 24, 2026
First Sentence: Superior Glokta stood in the hall, and waited.
Last Sentence: It hit him in the side like a charging bull, punched the air out of his lungs, knocked the sense out of his head, sucked him in and down into the cold darkness...
Companion Album:

I'll say this straight out, however you think Last Argument of Kings will go, it won't. But, if you've been paying attention in the previous two books, The Blade Itself and Before They Are Hanged, you'll have a good idea of who will come out on top and who won't.

I almost don't want to write much more than that and spoil the experience of this book for anyone interested. But I don't want to oversell it. It's not the best book or series ever written, but it's unique, brutal, and, most of all, fun.

Cover Notes:
I'm completing the series with the same format I set in place with Source for the castle image and source for the axe svg.
